Short Bed for sale....GRR
« on: April 14, 2006, 06:06:00 pm »
Just drove by an 81 GMC shortbed 2wd sitting next to this guys barn with a teeny tiny for sale sign in the window with no phone#. He had another car in his driveway for sale so I called that #. He wants $1500 for it and it looks pretty clean. Although I have no need for this truck my diseased obsession with these trucks makes me think I might just pay him a second visit. :lol

I have the same problem I already have a 77 chevy silverado shortbed, 78 gmc sierra shortbed and a 84 gmc 2500 longbed but I know where there is another 78 gmc shortbed for dirt cheap and a 81 chevy shorbed with a rust free box for $800.

Just saw an 86 LB Silverado with front end damage for $1400. Box is in good shap. There is a GM 350 engine in it with 90K miles on it. Guy said he bought the engine and tranny new in 96. One owner truck. Rust on cab not a clean truck. Any ideas on cost of rebuilding the 350? I really want the engine and tranny but, he want to get rid of it all. What you think I should offer?
