My new 86 Silverado
« on: August 18, 2006, 01:35:00 pm »
Picked this up last week from original owner in Georgia.
305/th350
Very clean
106k miles
Drove it back to Florida Sunday, ran the a/c all the way, no problems.
Everything works. There is a tiny radiator leak somewhere, not big enough to have any drips, but I went ahead and bought a new radiator to put in this weekend, if I have time.
I have big plans for this truck, it will just take some time.

That is a fine example of a "clean truck". Since it is so nice I wouldn't modify it too much. Do some subtle changes like lower it a bit and some nice 17s. Take the bedrails off and get a color matched hard tonneau cover (low profile).

It's your truck though so do with it what you like and don't listen to me. I am just suggesting what I would do if I had it. I like it. That is a nice color combo. Usually the grandpa trucks you find are the ugliest colors GM offered. Nice find

That is a really nice truck. How much did it cost ? I wouldn't do much to it-it looks good just the way it is.

Ya, the old man that owned it took real good care of it, and always garaged it.
I paid $6200 for it.
To me, worth every penny. Pics look good, it's even cleaner close up.
