I have an 87 shortwide bed and recently got hit by the county "Cha Ching' and was wanting to repaint the whole thing. I was wanting advise on using base coat clear coat, or Single stage paint. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I prefer base coat clear coat but single stage is quick and easier

It depends if you are looking for a show truck, a daily driver, or strictly work horse? Show truck I would do BC/CC, daily driver either would be fine, a work truck I would use the single stage. Just remember the paint is only as good as the prep done, and the type of primer used.
