Members Project Forum?
« on: January 22, 2008, 05:29:20 pm »
I create the Members Project forum for all those projects that everyone works on.  There are a lot of what I consider Members Rides listed there (just posting a pic of the truck)  What is everyones thought of making a Members Ride forum where you can post pics of your Ride and we can link it from the main site?  That way only ongoing projects will be listed.  Feedback?

I'm confused.  ??? lol

Why not just have a members rides page on the main site?

If it is here, when a new member joins they can edit the content themselves and add to it...  It's less work for me because i don't have to get some content from the owner, and it would be linked from the main site just like it is now....

yea, i think you should make the member's projects forum and make sure it's strictly for projects.  when i go in there (much like others i think) i want to see WORK being done.  not just some pics of nothing going on.  that's why i won't start one on my truck...i'm not ready to begin yet...when i have more money and i'm working on it REGULARLY, you'll see my project thread...

I kind of feel the same way. I didn't feel I had anything to post as far as pics until I had something significant done. I've only been active with the work on my truck the past 4 months or so. I still done feel worthy enough to post pics with everyones finished or mint trucks.

ok it looks like we are going this route.  the projects forum will be what my original intention was, projects.  there has been a huge surge after I posted this of 'rides' in the projects section with no projects...

Comeon brother - Post your pictures.  :)

I post pictures all the time on this forum and my work is by no means professional.  But I learn from all the comments that the guys (I don't think we have very many girls on this board) give me.  Just have some thick skin and don't take it personally if it "sounds" like some one is being overly harsh.  Remember is hard to type your emotions.

Thanks for the brotherly love!
I have some extra time on my hands, I think I'll get together some before and after pics of the surgery I did on mine. I have to down size all my pics unfortunately. :( Better get to getting.

I think I understand the question, being new and all. (learning all the ins and outs of this AWESOME sight!!!)

I think a forum that is like an online car show where guys can put pics of their stuff when done and show ready. (so to speak, they're never really done) and a spot where the build is ongoing and progress is seen in stages.  The show forum would be a bragging spot but more importantly give guys an idea of what something will look like when done, and the other would be ideas on how to acheive a certain look.
UH-OH  I'M GONNA NEED A BIGGER BANDAID!!!!!
