questions on wiper, NSS, and CC wiring

I have a 79 c-10 with a tilt column. I have always wanted the "newer" turn signal switch with wiper controls. So I pulled a column from a 81-87 burban and am trying to deciper the wiring before I take my working column out of the truck. So far I think that the turn signal connector harness will just plug in. Im not using the ignition switch so I dont need the wiring harness for that. I removed the lock plate rod so I wont need a key at all.
My questions are with the wiper wiring. My vehicle had delay wipers but the connectors look different and the colors ar enot the same. So is there a schematic that show more than what wire goes where but what signal is on the wire. I have looked at a few diagrams and it shows wires from the switch to the box then to the motor but they dont say what is on these wires so I can test them.
There are 4 wires that come out of the column near the wiper wires but they dont have a connector and I have no clue what they go to. The are Green, Grey, Pink, and blue. I am assuming that these are CC becuase that is the only thing not accounted for with a harness. Will this work with my 79's CC. I think that one had 3 wires orange, blue and grey?
Sorry for so many questions but Im really stoked about this mod, and more that it has inspired. thanks

In about 83-84 they switch to a VSS signal for the Cruise, what year did the column come out of? Your 79 used vacuum. It also was pathetic controlling the speeds.
I don't have schematics here with me, but I am sure someone will chime in....

Not sure what year the column came out of. I was too excited to score a unmolested decent looking column to look. I know by the fenders I was leaning over it was a 81-87. Only thing is none of the wiring diagrams I have been able to find match the colors. I see what you mean on the CC. Hope the burban is still there I might just have to go and get the newer CC off of it. Then the wires will match.
Anyone know how to hook up the windshield wipers to the newer switch. My old box has more wires than the new one and the colors dont match.

The wiper motors are different. You will have to snag the other wiper motor, the intermittent module and the washer bottle with the sprayer inside it. Why not just grab the harness while you're at it. It'd make everything easier. Why aren't you using the ignition switch?

I have the wiper module that came attached to the column. So I need the wiper motor?? There isnt a way to figure out which wire powers what and splice into my existing wiper motor. Dont really need speeds just need to have working wipers.
Im not using the ignition switch as I have some friends who schooled me on how easy it is to steal these trucks. I ma running a setup that requires a combination of things to start the vehicle via hidden method. (I.E. tap brakes honk horn the turn on lights then flick a hidden switch before you hit a hidden button. None of the features like horn and what not are audible/visbile when applied so unless you know hwat is going on you should be able to figure it out) I am removing all of the factory ignition harness so it cant be hot wired and rerunning it differently so as to make a would be theif hear my wonderful peizo sirens while they are working. Just my attempt to try and keep my truck a little longer while get close enough to get a good shot so i dont mes up my truck with too many holes...lol.
Anywho before I digressed...I need the wiper motor from the harvest truck? I was hoping to find out which wire gave power to the motor so i could just turn it on and off by the column switch. Guess Ill have to probe that one out then.

I went down to the GM dealer and got their tech prinouts. Full body schematics for both years. Got some good diagrams. Found some stuff on the burban in the diagrams that is electrical where mine is vaccuum. Guess more swapping is in order if that truck is still at the yard.
Thanks to all of those who helped!
