Long tubes and purple hornies???

Whats up guys? First post, I just bought a 77 c10 and the exhuast is shot. I'm wanting to run some longtubes and bolt on purple hornies, or the cherry bomb header mufflers. Will the cross member be in the way? What issues might I run into?

are you talking about just bolting them glass packs to the headers and then maybe some turn downs? I dont think you will have any issues if its 2wd. It will resonate you to death though

The sound won't be an issue, you should hear it now 
Yeah the glasspacks with a flange that bolts to the collector...
I hope they fit.

Are you lowered any?
Generally the longtubes that are for 73-87 applications make it so the header points to the ground, so the glasspack is just going to be that much closer...

should work good.  similar to what I have on my truck.  Ive got long tubes 2.5" pipe with a crossover and dynomax bullets dumped right before the axle. 

Id like to run some pipes over the axle and out both sides eventually.  I think it would sound alot meaner

Well crap, I was gonna do a 4/5 drop on it. Oh well maybe I'll run that setup until I get the truck to where I don't mind spending the money on a full exhaust.
