250 to 305 swap ?'s

i have an 83 c10 w/ a 250 w a 4 speed, i recently found a complete 92 firebird w/ a 305 and a 700r4 auto, I'd like to do the swap if it isn't crazy hard, the firebird is running so i have all of the parts at hand. should i swap them or just rebuild the 250,and what would be involved if i did swap them

It's a pretty straight forward swap. You'd need to modify your cross member and driveshaft for the 700r4.
