Thanks, I hope so. I used to have a 90 Blazer with 8in springs, 3in body lift, full cage on 44in Boggers. Had alot of fun in it but it drew too much attention from Johnny law. Back then I was just trying to stuff the biggest tire I could under the truck without thinking about articulation. I still have alot of time until I get to Old Whity. I may even opt for a set of 33's but I think that 35's would be just fine.

Are you going to repaint yours? If so, What color? I'm fond of the two-tones. I dig the white in the middle of the blue. That sucks about having to rebuild the 383. Is it shot or just worn out?

I'm diggin' your truck.  I've seen one LWB stepside around here and several while browsing the internet.  I'd consider buying one if I ever found one for sale -- they're pretty unique.  I can't wait to see what you do with it.

Hotrod, I lived by those word before I was married. Enjoy it while you can and for those who can still enjoy it after you start a family, my hats off to you. Hopefully you only have to freshen it up and not do anything major to it. It sounds like it's going to be a pretty cool ride like so many others on these pages.

Got2haul, thanks. I should've waited for a dry day to take pics though. The rust shows up more when it's wet. lol. I can't wait either. This will be my test mule for welding. I've been itchen to learn from when I had my Blazer 10 years ago. I was trying to work out something with the fella that fabbed my cage, bumpers, wedge for the rear and put two phantom grilles together(that alone set this truck off).
If you do find one, I'm certain it will rise to the status of your SWB. I do look at that thread alot. I kinda wish mine was an 80 and older or an 83 and newer but i'm not going to change it. Thanks
again.

Just wanted to say Welcome to the Forum from your NW Side Twin(Not in Looks or Truck, but in Name.. See Name in Sig).... ;D 8)  Kool looking start to the Madness, I'm right there with you on the Stepside looks, but with me, I like them more as a Slammed or Slightly Raked SWB(Like Got2Haul's or BroadZilla's Trucks)....

Truck looks real good.  My first chevy I bought back in 1990 for $500 was puke green '75 lwb stepside, with rotted bed, 16" tires on 16.5 rims.  It started my madness for chevy trucks.  It drank gas like a 40oz even with two barrel carb, but I could spin tires even doing 60 mph down road.  My wife made give up on her though.  Had to put $5.00 a day in the old green machine.  Sigh the good ole days ;D

Hey Rob, thanks. If mine was a c20, that would be the plan. A 4 link and bags can get me all gitty as well as a well done 4x4. This year I also got into ratrods.

wgeous, that was cool until you had to part with it. Mine still has the rotted bed and 16.5in rims. lol. Thanks

I'm a little slow with this. Just trying to post some pics.

I really like that! i've never seen a LWB Stepside. Good plans to keep it looking original.  8)

Grill looks good in silver as opposed to black like on my one.

Oldwhity, What size fuel tank is under your truck? I thought it might have two tanks.

Thanks Laderhosen. The grille is untouched. I think yours might have been painted but not sure. I was going to replace it but the repro's don't come with the emblem and factories are too expensive. There are 2 little cross pieces missing in the lower left corner of the grille. I might have to fabricate something.

DnStClr, it's a single tank. I think it's about a 20gallon.
