Steering tilt is sloppy

I have about 2in of play in my steering column tilt. what is the best way to fix this? thank you, Andy

There is a nylon ball joint that will wear out if you use the steering wheel to assist your entry to the vehicle. My experience with this is to replace the whole colum, sorry.
