new guy from sacramento, california!

hey guys! i just recently found this forum and i'm very excited about starting a project on my '78 1/2 ton shortbed silverado. i've had this truck since i was 15 and my dad had her before that and my grandfather bought her new. i'll try to post a few pics here and start another thread with my ideas and thoughts. i'm so excited today i pulled my '05 gto out of the garage and pulled the truck (aka silver) out from the side of the house and washed her up. kinda sad the goats gotta stay out side now:( LOL! well what do you think? any potential??

thanks again for all the nice replies. the orginal color is a burgundy red and shes been painted 2 more times the same color but the last time was probably 10+ ago and its faded real bad. i buffed through to the primer in a few spots on the hood.

i plan on a 700r4 w/ shifter on the floor between  bucket seats and a whole new interior. need to replace the a/c and lower it some more. when i do the interior i have to fix the only spot of cancer on the passenger floor board.

really just need to go through and redo alot of stuff i did years ago when i didnt know any better!LOL and might be dreaming here according to my wife but i wanna do a 5.3L/4l70e conversion.
