1985 Chevrolet C-10 long bed Pickup.

Goal: To Become a all-purpose Vehicle
AKA: Cruiser, Tow Pig, Show, ECT....

Start Date: Sept 07'

Planned End date: Summer 09'

History:

the story of this truck isn't a heart breaking one. This truck has been in my family since it was purchased back in 85. Bought to be "GAS SAVER" by my grandfather when he was even told it wont help much at all... Well the truck was passed down the family chain from my Grandfather to my uncle to my dad and finally to me.

91' 350 Canada block (High Nickle)
Silv-o-lite flat top pistons (10.0 comp)
Fully Balanced
Summit K1105 Cam Kit (224/234 @.050 Dur, .465/.488 w/ 1.5 rockers)
Summit Roller Rockers 1.6 ratio
ProForm Hardened 1 piece pushrods
461 Casting Camel Hump Heads (2.02/1.60, 1.550 springs, 62cc, lightly ported, Screw in Studs, Guide Plates)
Zoom Double Rooler
160 thermostat
Professional Products Crosswind Intake (Polished)
Holley 670 Street Avenger
Holley blue fuel pump
Flowtech Long tube Headers
3.0 inch dual exhaust with 2.25 h pipe and Thrush Welded Mufflers
nitrous plate system set to a 100 shot
Dual Electric Fans
New 3 row Radiator

Trans:
TH400 Rebuilt 2 years ago with Beefed up clutches and bands , drilled valve body,
B&M 2000 Hole Shot converter.

Rear end:
Sierra 3.73 gears with a full Spool


Body and Interior

Exterior:
Shaved drip rails, Fender Emblems, Fixed Cab Corners, New Windshield, Phantom Grille, Polished grille trim, New Lower Valence, SM Roll Pan, all New lights and lenses, Painted International Red

Interior:
In Process Grey swap over with Buckets seats from a Tahoe.( drivers side 8 way power w/lumbar, pass just lumbar ) Dash and most of inside of the truck to be done in Gray tweed. Put in headliner and trim panels out of donor truck. Grand Signature wheel.
Windows to be tinted to 20%



Suspension, Wheels & Tires

Brakes:
Diesel Brakes, Swapped from manual to power brakes

Suspension:
3" bell tech drop spindles, 4" shackles and hangers out back, Belltech nitro drop shocks all round.

Wheels:
15x7 front 15x8 rear Rallys

How do you like that 670 street avenger? I was thinking about getting one for my truck I have a 600 Holley and I dont really care for it.

to be honest i do like it.
but their is still a dip in sputter issue im working out, and adjusting the high idle speed down.

actually works well.
its not really that expansive.
i have a total of less that $200 in all of the parts.

I like how you set up that intake system.  I always thought a carb hat like that would choke the carb or disturb flow or something unless it was being fed by a supercharger or turbo.  Like bigblue09 said, can you tell a difference in HP?

well when i went to the track with it before it closed for the year it dropped my et by .2 and got 1 mph.
Gas mileage really stayed about the same since all i do is city and county driving. stayed right round 15.

and if anyone is wondering bucket seats can be a PITA to fab brackets and mount!

I was going to ask you about the seat brackets sure would have like to seen those before you put them in I've been working on a set from an 02 I have them in pieces but haven't worked on it lately.
