working class
« on: January 09, 2009, 12:05:42 am »
hi,
i was reading blazin's post of fallin in the pond and it got me to thinking how many working class trucks are out there. What do your trucks do to "earn their keep?"  Post some pics if you have them.

I took this pic today of my blazer earning its keep.  It pays for its own repairs.

Sweet K5's rule! Have never plowed with one but I bet they push like a dozer!
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Any truck I have has to tow, and tow they do.  My current truck doesn't get much in the back anymore since the repaint, mainly just hauls the trailer down the road.  Grandad used to haul stone in it for houses he built (he was careful and didn't beat up even the inside of the bed)  and it used to haul his slide in camper and two axle airstream all over the country.

Yeah all my trucks work too. I had someone tell me the other day I should take my plow frame off during the summer. I said ah No. It stays on there so there is no mistaking what that truck is for, working!

About working trucks... I don't know why seeing as I have absolutely no use for it, but I'd LOVE to have a dumptruck like this rebuilt like new:

Why can I picture that truck as a ramp truck?  Hauling home the next your next project. ;D
