Dang, if you are building this one up to be something nice, i would consider putting lojack on it or something. I know i will be once my truck is done, or close to being done.

Sounds good man!  Sorry about your truck.   a couple of preventative measures for next time I've heard good things about, Don't put your alarm siren under the hoodsince nobody pays attention to them anyway; put it under the dash or somewhere in the cab, it's hard to hotwire stuff with 150db right in your face.  Also come up with some kind of inventive kill switch, It doesn't even have to be a toggle type switch; be inventive.  I'd tell you some ideas, but i aint givin my stuff away, just in case.  When wiring your alarm, take the dash totally apart, that way you can run the alarm stuff way out of reach and don't power it from the fuse panel, which is easy to unplug.  Also as above, lojack can do wonders!   Basically in mine; if you can get it to start you have to unhook the battery itself to disable it, which means you won't be driving away in it.  it's no so hard, just plan it well. My truck may get stolen, but it sure as heck won't be easy, think booby trap ;D

I like the booby trap idea. THink of something like, in the old movie Road Warrior... Mel Gibson wired up some fuel switches and knives under his rear bumper if I remember correctly.

Just something to think about,; in case someone wants to steal your.. gas.. at knifepoint-- or something..

I got nuthin..

If it is still injected, I believe JET has a performance module that has some differenet settings along with a security setting that prevents the vehicle from running even if the module is bypassed...

I hate to hear about your truck getting stolen. Good luck with the new build. I like black and been thinking about looking for a black 87 4x4. I hope you're a good painter. Guys have said on here that it's hard to paint black and get it right.
