Code M Engine

Hey guys Im in the process of building a 1982 K25 350 5.7L  code M motor.  Just wondering if someone could tell me if this engine is a 4 bolt or 2 bolt main. Iève been told both already by people who supposedly know lol.... I know I could just pull the pan but yeah... its in a few feet of snow at the moment and dang cold out there so thanks in advance for any help...

also if anyone has any other pertinent info on these engine would be appreciated.

vin m 350 can be both 2 bolt or 4 bolt main. Mine ended up being a 4 bolt when I tore it down to rebuild it. It was in a 84 gmc 3/4 ton truck

It Could be either.  Only way to find out is to pull the pan.

is there an rpo that would tell you?

if there were still a list of rpo #s ont he tuck that is

No, there won't be a RPO listing that will tell you if it is 4 bolt or not.

anyway the drivetrain runs good for now... have more important repairs and upgrades ahead of this

like lights and parking brake cables lol.

Anyone have a good place to get parts for the front diff?  I have the front driveshaft in the house right now because where it gos into the the diff the yoke i believe is worn out.. cant find a good used one

Also can we identify the frotn diff by the cover.  I know in the rear i have a 14 bolt 10.5

An 82 truck 3/4 ton truck will have a 10bolt in the front.

you can get a driveshaft made by a local truck or drivetrain shop.

the driveshaft is fine.. its really the part that goes into the diff... the yoke or pinion i believe it was

You should be able to get that from a drivetrain shop also.

mine is an '84 m code and it is a 4 bolt main fwiw
