Air brakes are so very very simple. They should be an option on 1 tons. Hows a $4,000.00 dollar brake job scare you? All new air cans, slack adjusters, new brake hoses, release / set valves, S cam bushings, anchor bushings, rolls, hardware, brake shoes. Didn't replace drums, and S cams, they are still within specs. Plus the guy doesn't want to spend any more money. Wood chip trailer, it does about 10 to 15 loads a week, he has two trailers.

I do three days a week for him. Work on every thing from Toyota's to Pete's. I do all his paint work that comes in. Plus do my own thing be it body work, handy man stuff, carpentry, ceramic tile, and plowing too. Got plenty of work to keep me busy. If I didn't know how to do allot of different stuff I would be hurting though.

Is the 4K just in parts, or does this include the labor?

The drums are about 150 lbs, and the spokes are approx. 100 pounds. Depends on how much of them has rusted away!! Thats why we have the Back Buddy. Have one for hub pilot drums too.
