Grille
« on: February 16, 2009, 09:37:03 pm »
Needing help in trying to find a OEM replacment grill as I'm trying to restore a 78 Silverado. Having found a lot of aftermarket grills that would work, none of them have the moulding or cutout for the big bowtie or the 350 moulding. I really liked the factory grill for the 78 silverado. Could anybody give me some suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks
Jake

Probably your best bet is ebay, craigslist, swap meet ect... even a junk/salvage yard.
Or you could try to repair yours,if you can find another one that has the pieces that you need. Then you could say  "Yeah... I fixed it myself" !! 8)
I agree with you on the aftermarket stuff,it just isn't the same.
What part of WI are you in?

That grille is for a 75-76 model truck.

Here's a new one for (77-79) from classic parts

That's the one I have.  It's GM stuff.  Mine looked great.  only dark gray is available anymore though.
