My new SS

I had a 2004 GMC that I just sold and while looking for another truck I came across this one. It is a 97 S-10 SS, I know its not an old muscle car and most people dont think much about them, but I have always wanted one. So I went and checked it out and bought it saturday, this is my fourth s-10 and by far my favorite. The truck is super clean and the only added parts are a cowl hood, clear corners, and my favorite part a super charger!
The little truck is quick with a best time of 12.73, I haven run it that hard I am still alittle spooked by it. I dont think the wife is to crazy about it, This is not exactly what she wanted me to get, I hope I can change her mind. Anyway heres some pix.

Yeah it has the 4.3 and the SS was an option on the S-10, they made 1,459 of these in 97. As for the dryer hose that is what I thought to but its not big enough.

Cool find! I remember these and also wanted one back in the day. That's a great time for that little truck. I'm sure it had to have some tire under it though. I had a stock 98 Vette back in 99 that ran a best of 12.88 in the 1/4 and I thought that was pretty good. Is that a Pro Charger, Whipple, or Paxton and how much boost?

It has a Powerdyne super charger and boost is at 9psi. It had a meaty set of drag radials on some weld prostars when I bought it. I dont think I will do any racing that is why I put the stock wheels back on it. I will drive it about three days a week and do the cruise ins and shows.

Guys I have been driving it alittle more and getting more used to it. With the stock tires I cant do anything with it under 35, it wants to get sideways everytime I hit the gas. Once I get to about 40 it will hook and go, it is so quick to 100 and still pulling hard when it gets there that it scares me alittle. If I get enough nerve I may put the Welds with the drag radials back on and try it out.
