every time i drive my truck around town or even on the high way i get allot of waves and smiles but everynow and then some snobby rich butt person will just wrinkle there nose at me lol. like I'm the bad person that makes their gas price go up

Old trucks are a way of life around here so I don't see it so much in the trucks. But when I am in my car I get allot of waves, and if I pass a group of bikes I might as well be riding a Harley myself. Thumbs up or a low down wave from everyone of them.

They just suck, they've bought the best (arguably) of everything money can buy, but character wasn't available.    If i judged people like them by their cars, id never talk to anybody with a newer than 2000 ride and it had better have a bit of rust somewhere.     I have been known so start licking the inside of the window if they get too full of themselves, it makes the women almost vomit

I don't have too much of people looking down on old trucks.  I just went to the gas station and the only vehicles there were seven  73-80 chevys and gmcs including mine.  I never had that many just meet up like that before.    kinda wierd, but cool.

I hate it when people ask me all the time "I BET THAT THING SUCKS ON GAS" well you stupid moron if I didn't built it for gas mileage. And beside thatI don't have to drive it everyday.

Perhaps they look at us that way because our favorite hobby involves burning lots of fossil fuels.   

And, perhaps, they don't approve of that hobby.  Heck, I don't approve of eating tofu and being a vegan.

I have heard the gas mileage quip many times but I just figure that I can buy a lot of gas for what they pay every month in a payment. Not forking out $700 a month for a car payment is very agreeable to my wallet.

I have a dream about buying a house in one of the richer neighborhoods, and driving the ugliest truck I have and parking it out front. Course, I gotta start it up every morning at 6am so I can go get a cup of coffee. Oh yeah, I don't drink coffee

lol starbucks. something iv noticed is newer trucks aint really getting better mpg compared to the older gms that are getting 20 mpg. i also get the question "how much you get, 4" i just laugh and say if im running late to work i get about 5 if im on time i get about 7-8

lol i actually had a lady about in her 30's come up to me (before i took my truck apart) at a gas station and started cusing me out for no reason, and finaly after she stoped talking i asked her what is your problem? she replied, "all your doing is killing the enverioment and the animals driving the truck" aslo she said "you and every one else who drives thos old rust heaps that get no mileage to the gallon is the reason why as prices are sooooo high" and again she started to cus me out but she started to walk away before i could respond, but when she walked to her car it was a caddiliac esclade, and i said across the gas station "are you kidding me!!!!" and "you yell at me because of gas prices!!!!?" i cant stand how some people mostly the richer people are so stupid

I was doing some tinkering on my truck one day and landlord comes out and says "Must be hard on gas?" I'm like .. its easier on gas than my 99 4runner was. He looked at me in disbelief.

I just smile, and give them a nod at the stop light. Then when they look forward I stab it in 1st and watch them practically jump lanes the sound scares them so bad. After I get flipped off I wave at them
