Fuel Tank Brackets

I have dual tanks on my 85 Silverado 2wd.  My drivers side tank had a leak in it so I dropped the tank this weekend and discovered that my fuel tank brackets were rusted out.  These are the brackets that bolt directly to the frame.  The straps are riveted to these brackets.

My question is this...if I buy replacement brackets...are the brackets the same for both sides of the truck.  In other words, if someone is advertising they have RH brackets will they work on the drivers side (LH) of the truck?  The freaking brackets cost about as much as a new tank and sending unit does but I have to do it.

Thanks for your help and I just love this site.  I bought my 85 about 1.5 years ago and I read this site constantly.  One of these days I'm gonna have this thing in the shape I want it!

Same bracket opposite side of the truck...  (tank is the same also.)

Been a few years but the brackets were not to bad $$ wise last time I bought some. I got them from my local Chevy dealer. You do have to weld nuts onto them as they don't have them.

hmmm i just did the tanks on my truck a couple a months ago. and if i remember correctly those bracket are differ lengths. im not 100% possitive though. im sure the straps them selves are different lengths because of the tank being larger at the front or rear. how that for a big help

There is a front and back bracket, but they are interchangeable from left to right.
