How close to tank?

How much spacing do I need between my stock gas tank and my exhaust piping? How far away does the exit need to be? I really want to run duals out right in front of the rear tires. I only have to clear the one side?

Just as long as they are hitting it will be fine. If you need a number, I would keep it at least 3" away.
