Guys,

I lifted my truck 6 inches using no blocks.  I used springs from an ext cab S10.   And a full size Bronco.

I took the biggest spring from the rear of the S10 and added them to the front of my K10 and took the Biggest out of the rear of the bronco and added to the rear.  Worked perfect. Level truck..... Of course I tried many Different springs til I got it right.  But this worked perfect.   I ordered shock mounts and weled them front and rear.  Worked perfect.     The steering arm is a pain and I always will suggest spraying JB Blaster and then cooking it.  Makeing the blaster boil in the cracks really works.
Let GM go belly up! I got what I wanted. Thanks for building the best truck ever.

How do you torch the pitman arm like that without damaging the steering box seals / bearing?

I recently replaced my steering box and the pitman arm came right off very easily, but on my 86 model it has a bolt and the shaft is keyed so arm only goes on one way, I wonder why they didn't make them all like that?

Sure you can burn the crap out of it. Just be careful.
