Redneck Rampage. After the video game...Which ironically had 73-87 chevy trucks in it.

Up until last night, my truck was just Ole Blue or The Chevy for obvious reasons. But last night my wife and I were on our way home from shopping and we witnesssed a hit and run accident. The guy who ran was in an F-150 and we followed him down the interstate while on the phone with the cops. We gave them the lisence plate number and followed them for about 5 or 6 miles while giving the cops our location. We hit around 90 or 95 MPH for one stretch. I wanted to run them down the interstate until the Troopers could catch up to us. But the guy finally exited off  and hit some side roads and went down a gravel road into a wooded area. It hasn't rained here in weeks so he just vanished in the dust around a blind curve. That's where I stopped because they could have easily dropped someone off (a shooter maybe) to ambush us. We went back to the wreck scene and talked to the Trooper and the local PD and filled out a statement. All in all, a very exciting trip home from Academy. So, instead being being called Ole Blue, I'd like from now on for my truck to be reffered to as "The Persurer".

Nice. It's good to let the old Chevy stretch it's legs a little from time to time.

A friend refers to my 82 as the Death Star. It's big and gray and "not yet fully operational".
It doesn't make a lot of sense though when I pull my boat with it, which long ago was christened "The Aluminum Falcon". He also named my garage fridge "Coolio"

My '86 is called Earl

...because he's Grey.

My dad used to call his white '81 K5 "White Lightning", but it was more tongue-in-cheek, due to the 305 and all.

When i bought my truck it was called Big Red by the p/o. I painted it yellow, and still called it Big Red. Then when I rebuilt it, and put the vanity plate on I call it Yellow Snow.

My truck has had several names, and I think its finally settled on one. At first it was the Valdez. When I was priming the oil pump, I had my buddy(also named kyle, it gets confusing) check for leaks. I started spinning the drill and he was standing next to the truck looking at the top of the engine. I.said look underneath because you might not notice it from above. He kept looking at the top. Then I stopped and told him to look underneath again. He glanced under and said "eh, I think you got a leak". I lost over 2 quarts out of the hole above the oil filter. All over the drive way. Awesome. Then it was called "The Gulf Of Mexico", because it lost all of its oil in a matter of a week, valve cover gasket. And now it is "The Titanic" because it has 2 hugs foot long gouges down the passenger side.

The 74 I am building is nicknamed " SHAGGY ".  It is because scooby-doo is my favorite cartoon, and when my daughter was young she loved watching it with me, every Sat. morning.
After my truck my wife wants one built for her, so I plan on calling it scooby-doo.  I even have back windows murals I made up to put in them.  My plan is to have a horn in mine that says the catch phrase " scooby-doo where are you" and in my wifes truck have one that repley's " Here I am shaggy ".   Oh course as long as I don't infringe on any copy rights that is.
You never know, maybe I will build one for each member of the investigative team.   ;)
