check out what i bought
« on: March 10, 2009, 09:29:14 pm »
Dumb me cracked my windshield and sand blasted both door glasses. (don't ask lol) so found this 86 pretty much same price as the glass would have cost me. Going to use the glass, all the inside plastic, tilt steering.
The guy told me it had a 350 he was wrong has the 305 with a bad knock . But might keep the trans for my TA.

Have to love craigs list. Was a collage guys truck and he need the money. Just think some one was trying to talk him down on his price. I told him I will meet with you now and buy the truck not seeing it. Guess that work ,
I do wish it had the 350 that was kind of a bummer was going to rebuild it and put it in the TA. Nothing better  than a chevy 350 motor in a pontiac lol
later jay

If you are not going to use the dual tank wiring and switch, I sure would like the factory wiring for mine.  My uncle who was the original owner cobbled a toggle switch in the dash.  I could use the passenger side tank as well.

Good score on the parts truck. I might be interested in the steering box. I'm gonna convert mine to cross over steering and need a 2 wheel drive box. Let me know, thanks.

It must be nice living so near to other chevy owners that frequent this site :D!
Good deal on the truck, I would like to buy an old beater for 2-500
Free would be alright too ::)
