It's a Dana 60, and I have a headache now.

1975 C10 Silverado LWB, 454CID, TH400, 10bolt 3.42
11MPG Downhill w/tailwind (but there ain't no hills here)

Its a Dana 44.
60's use one U bolt on the right side.
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

That is what i thought but on the right side or left of the axle tubes down in the corner it will tell you what it is

I believe this is what Blazin is talking about as the identifier.



Notice the bolt that is sticking straight up out of the housing.  That's where the inner side of the right spring clamp bolts up on a D60.

thanks guys OK now with the next question I'm new with this whole axle thing but i want a locker for the front. what other info do i need to know, and were do i find one?

 I just got an Eaton for my 14 bolt 9.5"  rear from Randy's Ring and Pinion. If Kaptkaos doesn't sell them give these guys a call. I'll let you know in a week or two how it works out.
