OK, heres my problem. I apologize in advance for being long winded.
I'm replacing my 12" lift with a 4" lift using parts left over from past projects. I have a set of Rancho front springs part # 586206-A (brand new, came with a parts truck I bought). I was told by the seller it was a 4" kit (the rear blocks are definitely 4"). The rear springs are Rough Country  part # 8200 (4").
I got the truck all back together and dropped it down off of the lift to measure for the new driveshafts and you guessed it, it don't sit level. The rear end is about 2" higher than the front.
I called Rancho and they told me those are 2" lift front springs. (they look like 4" to me, I'm no expert but I have installed a few 4" lift kits)
I called Summit Racing and they confirmed it that they are 2" springs.
Rough Country tells me my rear springs are definitely 4" lift springs.
Still with me? Here comes my problem.
I have the Rough country front 4" springs that were on the same truck the rears came from. These springs are approximately 6 months old (I used the Ranchos because they were brand new with shiny paint). Well, when you compare the two springs side by side they have the same arch and they are the same height.
Any ideas? Could it be that the Ranchos are "soft rides" and sag down to 2" lift. It will be a few days before I can put in the Rough Country's to see how it looks and was just wondering if any of you have any experience with these rancho springs.                Thanks
