« on: April 04, 2009, 06:07:43 pm »
Hi guys,
New guy here, and I browsed through your forums quite a bit the last few days,
I was curious if any has had any experiance with the Pro Comp engine components,
Heads, intakes, ignition systems etc... if they are good or not, pros and cons etc...
any info would be much appriciated.

Thanks,

Joe

Welcome.    I used a set of Pro Comp lights one time does that count?........lol.   No really I have not used any of it. I think you will see most guys here use tried and true brands.     Always stick with tried and true.

Let GM go belly up! I got what I wanted. Thanks for building the best truck ever.

No experience with pro comp, but welcome to the board and if you do buy their stuff, do a review for us!

Yeah I was debating on trying out their heads and intake combo, i'm gonna do alot more research before ordering of course,
it will be 2-3 months before i'm ready to start buying parts, I still gotta get the other engine disassembled and taken to the
shop.

My brother's used a polished Pro Comp intake on his 468 and had no issues. Most of thier stuff is a "copy" of an existing part. If you can get namebrand parts I'd try to stick with that....BUT, if you're on a budget then hey, save a few $$$.

Electrical components I'd definately stick with MSD,Mallory, etc.
