1986 C10 Front suspension
« on: April 08, 2009, 09:38:38 am »
I have a 1986 C-10 Fully stock front suspension. I bought new poly bushings and cannot figure out how to remove lower control arm bushings, without a press. Any suggestions? Plans are for a 5.3/4le60 combo and I am trying to finish up frontend rebuild before moving to swap. Thanks.

Most of the ones I have seen have to be burned out with a torch.

I used an air hammer/chisel thing many years ago. wasn't easy.

I just rebuilt my front suspension about 3 weeks ago and I gave up trying to take them off. I took them to a suspension shop which cost me $55, Saved me the headache.
