chrome side moldings
« on: April 11, 2009, 02:16:35 pm »
Anyone know what trim levels of Chevy truck came with the chrome side moldings?

Also was it standard on Scottsdales or an option?

I think chrome molding depends on the year of the truck and model, of course. There's a good description of trim levels on 73-87.com,a sister site to this one. Here's a link.

Thanks, on that link it says "This trim was a minor upgrade of the base trim described above.  A little more chrome dressed up the outside." Does that mean it got the side molding do you know....?  ??? Wondering if mine came with it, anyone know if there would there be any holes in the bodywork or was it just glued on???

81 up were mostly glued on except for the rear corner peices on the bed. They had a clip on them, so if it did, it would have holes in the rear corners of the bed. The trim aound the cab would have had clips as well, so look for evidence of any hole repairs.

If it came with side moldings would it also have come with the cab trim??
