Its certainly a nice truck. I hope to have a hotrod truck soon too. To many projects though at the moment. I like all the bells and whisltes, but for a street/strip truck, I can do without the bells and whistles, especially power steering and power brakes. I'd prefer to have AC over those 2. If I am going to go thru the trouble of having a quick ride, I want to be able to put as much hp to the ground as possible and not give it up. However, mine is not gonna be blown, and I will have AC on it. It can easlity be shut off to run a race. Currently, I am just trying to get my 84 C20 Silverado in decent shape. Its good. Its runs, all the power locks, windows, cruise and all that work. The AC is there, and will be working before next summer. I just bought the truck several months ago with a 454 that has about 30,000 miles on it, but the Turbo 400 with 173,000 miles on it, decided to die, so that is why I got the truck so cheap. Trans was bad, it looked ugly, although no rust, but they had to get rid of quick being that it was on the military base. Pull A Part was gonna give them $100 and could get in a few days. I told them I'll give you a $100 now and take it now. SOLD !!! Lovely truck for $100 and a great running 454 even though its a sled with Peanut Port heads. Then project #2 is gonna be to get the 85 K-10 Silverado 4x4 running. I bought that one for $150 with no motor, trans or transfer case. Otherwise complete. Oh and front driveline missing. Has a bit of rust in the cab corners, but thats OK for this truck. I am no looking to make it pretty, I am putting it together to tear up some dirt. Then I can get to the Street Strip truck out of an 81 C10 Silverado with all the bells and whistles, but no power steering or brakes. And if I do, decide to keep the power steering and brakes, I am taking the hydro boost brake booster off the 85 K10 that was orignally diesal. Big CAm = no vac boost power brakes.
