Red short bed is sweet. Black & red K5 would be allot nicer without the big wheels!
Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs

Are you just gonna lay there and bleed or are you gonna cowboy up?

That totally reminds me of Lake McConaughey in Ogallala, NE. We camp there every other weekend in the summer.

Tons of soft, white sand + Heavy Trucks = Playtime!

My favorite is when people come in with 5th Wheel campers and tires air'd to 80 psi... Good luck in the sand with that!

Here's a couple of pics I have from years past:

Yep, that's McConaughey. We have a small cabin in the trees just in the background of that pic.

I don't know who's truck that is. We saw it stuck and stopped to take a picture. Looked like 35+ MTRs and, as you can see, it sunk deep!

I'd take it the way it is. I would love to find a 89/91 K5 that clean. I could always change the rims.

That last picture you posted is from silver lake.  That is a friend of mine's truck from the sheer madness off road group as shown on his window sticker.  These are picture taken from their group off another forum I am a member on.  As you can see, the last pic is the same one as you posted.

There's something missing in that second picture...can't quite figure out what though  ???

But seriously, how did he manage to lose a tire?

There is no mud, all sand.  Most people air down to about 8-12 psi to drive out there, it's easy to pull a tire off the rim, that was not the only one that came off.  I would still like to see pictures of the cabin behind the trees?  I bet the Michigan dnr would notice if someone built a house on a state park  ;)

We pulled a tire outside bead past the inside edge of a rim one time pulling my buddy's 81 shortbed F150 out of a water hole similar to that one except it was mud under the water.
