OK what I'm looking for is aftermarket parts from a good shop, for my three wheeler its a yamaha 225 dx, ytm225 tri-moto year not sure of but from what i understand the 3 or 4 years they made these it was the same style 225cc. but if its asked its a 83-85 iv read something about 83-86 idk if its relable but it was put out there. what i need is engine parts ex. rings for sure and maybe a better piston and maybe trany parts kept on wanting to slip out of gear. been looking online and haven't really found anything so I'm asking for a little help, I've looked on ebay but i don't know the people and have a problem with putting engine parts in my engines and it taring more up.

I'm going to the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System next month and I can keep my eyes open at some of the shops around there--they usually have postings and 'for sale' items and the like for the older 3 wheelers.  www.TrailsHeaven.com

Another thing you can do is just get a parts one and strip it out...check out craigslist for other cities besides your own and you may have to trailer it from a distance, but, those puppies are getting harder to find each year.

Do you like the three wheeler particularly?  Because if it were me, i'd scrap that idea and get a more modern one.  I have a Yamaha Kodiak 400cc and love it

the first ATV i rode was a Honda three wheeler so its kind of like a passion, I've rode  fore wheelers and they don't turn sharp enough and its hard to get them on one wheel . also knowing they are so easy to roll makes it funner. you should of seen me the other day out on the three wheeler clearing paths machete hanging off the fuel tank felt like i should of been in a "Jason" movie or something

When i was 13 i rode my cousin's honda three-wheeler and tried to go up a steep hill, gave it gas, and, well...you know what happened, those jokers are so light in the front, forget going up a hill and giving it any gas.  Can you say 'roll'?
I like going fast, really fast, as you can tell from the pics of my website posted above, you simply can't go as fast with a 3-wheeler and turn a corner without one day seeing your maker.

I've had my ATV on two wheels often going around sharp turns and leaning to the inside and such.  Heck, if I drove a 3-wheeler now with the habits I have acquired, i wouldn't last 5 miles.

yeah lucky over here on the east cost its mainly flat, imo they make it easy to run something down "farm animal" escapees lol also just easier to turn. and like you said turning them fast at high speeds well its "blue oval bad"
