Will the 205 from a 1974 chevy pickup with the 4 speed manual fit in a 1987 gmc suburban with the th400?
it has a 208 right now...

Will it phsically bolt in place, yes you need the mounts that go with it, but it can go in there.

You will need the adapters for each case and the correct T-case shaft as the 4 speed is 10 spline, the th350 is 27 spline and the th400 is 32 spline.
