Well, I've got a question and I'm sure someone here has something similar to what I'm interested in.
I really like the look of 17's with a nice sidewall but I came across these Boss 335's and I fell in love. Simple 5 spoke with a soft lip -mmm
Heres a picture of the wheel from summitracing

Heres some information about the 335 wheel from summitracing
Rim Diameter (in): 20 in.
Rim Width (in): 8.50 in.
Backspacing (in): 5.671 in.
Offset (mm): +25.00mm

Ive read that factory steel rally wheels are either 15x7 or 15x8 with 4"BS and Ive read that 5.5" BS is great. This wheel is close to the 5.5 BS but Im just not sure how a 20 will look on these trucks. Basically I dont want my truck to look retarded.

Heres a screenshot from a wheel calculator I found online:

If you have 20" wheels on your truck, could you post up a picture of a side shot or something close so I can see how it looks on our trucks. If you could give a summary of the rim spec's and tire spec's that would be awesome!
this is what i have to work with:

thanks,
clint

My truck has a 6/7 drop and 20x8" Billet Specialties, front tires are 245/40/20, rear tires are 275/45/20.

I think I found the wheel of choice. I photochoped them on my truck and lowered it approx 2 inches front and rear to bring it down to where i want it in the end.

17x9 on the front with a 1" lip
17x10 with a 3" lip
according to all the research ive done with the online calculators the offsets I chose will be 2+ mm more than a factory 96 impala wheel. all wheels will be exactly the same distance from the fender lip to tire. in relation to the factory 8" wheel with the 4" of BS the wheels will be tucked in a bit so there is no chance of it rubbing the fender edge - or so it appears.

Are you going to get adapters to go to the Four lugs or re-drill? Just kidding! :D
I'm like pete, Got to be carfull or you could end up with "not enough tire sidewall". Another couple inches lower would look nice. I like the way byrd's looks (with the small exception of the bed oddities, as previously discussed ;)) Lorne

Byrd, how do you turn with your wheels that tucked under the front fender? doesnt it bottom out on, well.. leaves and stuff??  :)

For me I want to get some 20's but it might look too gangsta for my truck. it currently has a 3/5 drop and sits pretty neatly on the stock 15" rallys.
I think I would like to keep the overall size the same so the wheelwell looks partially filled, etc.. but maybe an 18 would be better for this.. one day it will have air suspension, so im trying to kill 2 birds with one stone... 18" now? bags +20's later?

its all that crap about backspacing that has me stumped,as I dont see that kind of information on the web... meh. I dunno..

Truck turns fine, sometimes the tires hit the inner fenders but it has to be a big bump or dip in the road. As I have stated in the past it is not a daily driver and I know all of the roads around here.
