« on: June 23, 2009, 09:38:49 pm »
Ok so I know how I'm going to set up my suspension
I'm going to do a porterbuilt dropmember with 2" drop spindles and slam specialties bags up front and a kp components 4 link, c notch and slam specialties bags out back and I know how I'm going to set it all up. The only thing I don't know is what all Air management stuff I need. I'm talkin valves, lines ect.
So what all do I need and what do you guys recommend? Thanks alot

I sell Dakota Digital Air management pieces (they aren't listed but availible.)
as far as which to get that is up to you.  KP Components or Porterbuilt should be able to sell you the pieces you need for the system.

Airline (about 35 ft for a front/back set up and 50 ft for a F.B.S.S)
Fittings
Compressor
Pressure Switch
Tank
Valves (4 for front/back or 8 for F.B.S.S.)
Gauges (optional)
Switches or Switchbox

That can get you started. Depending on how you set it up some of the parts may not be needed.

Actually I found a post on 67-72 and I decided how I'm going to set everything up but thanks alot guys. Also I have another question about the rear suspension? I want to lose the leaf springs, but is a 4 link completely neccesarry? Could I just weld a couple of bars between my notches?

Do you mean "weld a couple of bars" as in a crossmember on the notch?

And yes you should get some type of four link if you want to be low and ride smooth.

If you are getting a KP's bolt in setup you have to get rid of the leafs.

The KP one is what I was looking at. Seems like the most bang for your buck.

And yeah Jason that's what I meant. I was going to weld them across and use one for bag mounts and the other for shock mounts.
