my 77 lwb build
« on: July 05, 2009, 11:39:40 am »
I'm finally gettin some momentum  with my project and figured I'd take everyone along. My 77 longbed has been sittin in my yard for about a year and a half and I am finally gettin to the point to where I can get some work done on it. First I'm startin on the engine. I got a 350 that is .060 over from a guy I know and decided to go through it, replace all the gaskets, add a new cam and lifters since the old one had a lobe wore down, and a little chrome. Here are some pics of all the stuff.

nice! I just took apart my 350 the other day and found one lobe worn down on my cam too. I'm putting a Voodoo cam back in it. Whats your plans for you rig? It looks like a great project. Andy

Sweet truck! Body doesn't look rough at all. Is the motor your building out of the truck or is it an extra one?

Actually it is for the truck, i pulled the old motor and traded it for a 4 link and bag setup after I got this motor. I got really motivated and put most of the motor back together the past few days. I'll have pics of it soon. And I am planning to start on the bagging process of the truck soon too.
