replaceing door glass

What started out as a minor door repair has turned out to be a partial door restore. While changing the weather stripping, the glass came out of the sash channel. I ordered new fuller channels but I cant find any DIY on installing a filler channel. I assume the filler channel has adhesive so that it sticks to the glass.  THen the glass fits into the sash. Is any other adhesive needed to make the glass stay in the sash? thanks

What year is your truck?

Some years had a thin rubber piece, or plastic piece, which was wrapped around the bottom of the glass then the sash was crimp to the window, if that was what your asking.

If your trying to just attach the sash to he glass check your other sides placement,if it works correctly,  place it on your glass the same way mark it with a sharpie marker take it to a glass shop and have them urethane it on for a few bucks.

I'd say buy a tube but it will go bad fast if you don't have plans for it last I checked It varies between 10 and 20 bucks a tube, Calking gun type.
 some times you can find small tubes at parts houses.

BE SURE OF THE PLACEMENT that stuff is a nightmare to get off!!!

its an 83. I wouldnt have thought it was crimped. I think what was there was a piece of rubber that could have been crimped on...makes sense. I think taking it to a glass shop makes sense.

 Before you do I ran in to this problem twice.
 make sure the rollers on your regulator is the right size to fit the sash
they are different sizes depending on the year
