1983 C10 by a novice and his sons---
« on: July 25, 2009, 10:54:33 am »
Well I've decided to post "our project"  We bought the truck and drove it home - $ 1000.  Then the fun began - that was almost 2 years ago.

Of course we had to start taking things apart:

Quickly we decided to "drop" the truck with spindles in the front and flip kit on the rear (oh yea found a deal on some wheels.

Of course we realized we might as well keep taking things off the truck...

Finally we have started putting things back together...

Motor is ready...will be mated to rebuilt 700R4...

Its been a blast so far...this site has really helped...we've got some wheel clearance issues to resolve, but we're waiting until we get all of the parts back on to deal with them...

Peace,
Don, Isaac, Robert
Aiken, SC

This may be a novice project, but those don't look like novice results.  Two thumbs up.

Nice project! You aren't too far from me either - I live in Charlotte, but spend time down in Union, SC at my folks house.
