Aftermarket window regulators?
« on: July 26, 2009, 05:31:38 pm »
I'm in the market for a manual LH window regulator for my 1980 fleetside.  I see a bunch of aftermarket regulators available on eBay.  Are these just as good as an original part, or should I focus on trying to find an original?

I've tried aftermarket ones, and honestly they suck. One stripped out after 3 months of use and the other one wouldn't "hold" the window up after a few weeks. You can still get GM units for ~$100 (or less on ebay sometimes). Drivers side is gm#14027431 and RH is 14027432 IIRC.

I haven't had any issues with the aftermarket ones I sell.
