Front finder question, 86 GMC
« on: August 02, 2009, 03:13:58 pm »
Hello,

I am wondering if my front finder could be straightened out or if i should search out a replacement. The truck was wrecked before I got it, it had to have been over 5 years ago. If i need to find a replacement how popular was this 2 tone paint scheme and availability now?

Thanks,
Jordan

Labor to straiten that fender would be allot more than a replacement.  Don't quite understand what your asking about the two tone paint?

I think he is trying to find a used fender that has the same paint job as his truck.

Agreed, definately not worth trying to fix. Finding a good replacement fender with the same color combo is possible but in all actuality, not going to be easy.

Thanks guys,

Thats what I was afraid of. :(

I guess the search begins, I really don't want to paint it. If I do I will probably put the same color on, I really like it.

Thanks,
J

even if the color scheme was the same, chances are the paint faded differently on the donor than it did on your truck. It's not worth even looking.
