side windows won't stay in the track
« on: August 04, 2009, 09:22:16 pm »
OK now this one really has me baffled. I wasn't there when the side windows were pulled out (the person I had paint the truck decided to do that). I've got the glass back in, but I can't figure out what I've missed, as no matter what I do, the glass will not stay in the track once I roll the window down. If I remember right, the glass should stay in the front track, right? Anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong?

(BTW...thanx for the replies on my question on upper door seals.)

If I remember right, its been a while, when you remove the door panel, the tracks are botled into elongated holes for adjustment on the back. You should be able to loosen the screws, push the track forward, and tighten them bck up. This should close the gap and keep them in place. What do the window felts look like. If they are tost, that will cause an issue as well.
