console repair thoughts?

hey i just picked up a set of factory high backs and a console for 20$ off a guy locally, and the only problem is that the console has a crack on the back, near the hinge. Whats the best way to fix it/ fill it?  just body filler and prime it, or is there a better way to fill it and stop it from getting worse?

you are going to have to use a plastic welder or some good epoxy.

All of the late versions did this.
