Down to just getting rid of rivots now.  Started washing it up today and still a lot of black left on the old girl.  Got quite a bit of the rear frame pieces nos gm on order.  Hopefully they can get what I'm asking for.

Replaced the very front crossmember with a nos member to get rid of some fork truck damage.  I also got in some nos spring hangers and suports.  Looking into a few more nos crossmembers.  Trying to get rid of as much rust as I can.  oh, I only have 10 rivots left and will have them all out  ;D

Kool good parts truck, make sure you reinforce the steering box area on the frame while ya got it apart. I'm getting parts ready for a new frame for old rusty. Going to do the stock 2 WD rear spring hanger flip, so I can remove them stinkin blocks from the rear end. 2WD steering box/crossover steering, and I'm taking out the 52" springs in the rear and putting in 56" springs. Nice job, keep us posted.

I got an offroad design steering box brace and front rear spring shackles for it.  I have almost all the parts ready to go to powdercoat next week.  Should be ready by the end of this weekend.

Very cool project.
How did you like dealing with Government Liquidators? I just started reading about them on line. It seems like a real pain waiting for the paperwork to clear to get the  EUC.
I just bought a M1028 few months ago . I got it at a dealers only auction, the dealer I got it from bought it one week earlier at the GSA auction. Going back to the upcoming auction to try to get a blazer. I hoping to grab one for about $1500-$2000. It seems like the GSA auctions have a slight advantage because you can hear the run.
Good luck with your project.
It's good to see these trucks on this site.

I didn't like the EUC wait at all, almost lost my truck over time limit due to them taking too long.

Here are some updated photo's of my project.  Most of the powder coating is done.  Starting to work on the axles now, disk brake conversion for the rear.

This is for my blue truck, I have already done a frame for it and the truck is complete.  It bleads rust real bad between the parts.  I wanted to coat all the way around everything.
