It's a heck of a lot cheaper ($16 a roll). Dynamat is ridiculously over priced. You pay like $150 to do a 3 foot section. Or something like that. Google B-quiet for another good alternative to dynamat, that one's actually made for autos.

FYI, if it comes in a roll, it is roofing material.  Avoid it.  Roofing material is not nearly as effective and STINKS in the heat.  You'll know you made a mistake when you return to your car after parking it in the sun on a hot summer day.

Yes dynamat is very over priced, but who in their right mind pays retail?  Check out some of the the Dynamat Xtreme prices on eBay...MUCH BETTER.

When you take shipping into consideration, this represents one of eBay's better deals on Dynamat:

I imagine, you would need two of these to get good coverage of your doors and floor.

i' thought so... i've seen some dynamat wannabe generic stuff, didn't know if that was worth using or not. my cousin owns creative car tunes so i can get the stuff, and i have an account with autoloc so i can get stuff at wholesale... just didn't know what to use...

There's other stuff that works just as good that's cheaper. Take a look at B-quiet and Second Skin.

I should clarify that I am not down on products like B-quiet, Second skin, or Cascade (which is apparently the best on the market).  I just wanted to make it clear that you can do MUCH better on Dynamat pricing, if you want to go that route.  Just steer clear of anything that comes in rolls (maybe it's not always the case that it will be roofing material, but why risk it).  I know someone that deliberately used roofing material and he had a heck of a time getting it all off after he realized his mistake.

i used b-quiet for my cab also, and i must say i really like it. The sound drop is fantastic, even with my louder exhaust, and with the windows up you barely hear outside. Windows down gives the pleasant sound from outside, so its not as droning as it used to get going down the road.

Mine came in the roll, but there is no smell at all(i think its almost all butyl rubber instead of asphalt) and i could not be more happy. also i was able to turn my radio down from 35 to 25ish as there was less noise in general to overcome.

heres a pic of complete(minus the back wall i did that afterwards)

Hey Armor, is B-quiet all gooey on one side, like dynamat? Or is it more of a foam?

it VERY sticky, but it not runny or anything,  if it touches the surface it will stick well, but you can pick it up a bit if needed, but once its rolled down with a little roller, it doesnt come up at all. SIDE NOTE- gun wash will get it off panels, if like me your attempting to get factory buckets in after finishing the floor.

I used some stuff that I got off of e-bay called fatmat.  Like Armor said I could not be happier with how it turned out. It is like the dynamat, it is sticky on one side and after installed it cut out the noise and cut down on the temperature in the cab.
