Pics of my 86
« on: September 10, 2009, 10:08:46 pm »
I finally got some pics of my truck and thought I would post them on here.  It's an 86 with a 3/5 drop on it.  I just dropped a 350 in it, in place of the 305.  Tell me what you think.  Thanks...

Well, I need to replace cab corners and a rocker, then I want to paint it hot rod black [satin/flat].  Then I want to paint the rims the same color as the block [orange/red].  Still thinking about the interior, maybe black/gray, not sure yet.  Just want to stay with the old hot rod theme

The old hot rod theme looks good on these trucks.  That's the look I'm going for too.  Your's is gonna look good with that drop when it's all painted up.  I think a guy on this board has a longbed painted flat black and it's lowered and it looks real nice.  Good luck with it.

I like the old school look too - my 79 has silver powder coated plain wheels with old dog dish hub caps, cheap to buy and looks cool.
