I'm not trying to dog KP because they do make quality  components. Take a look and see which you think is stronger.

Oh shoot... there's no doubt in my mind the Airbar is stronger than the KP......

I mean the one good thing about the KP is it gives you a lot of lift.. I just cant for the life of me understand why they don't use a little beefier materials. Especially when their parent company, partner, owner or whatever you call them Chris Alston's chassisworks products is all made heavier duty. heck all their stuff is mostly made for cars let alone trucks...I dunno strange... I guess there's no one from KP that posts on here that would care to explain why that is....

The only thing that kinda bothers me about the Airbar is the fact that it is limited in how low it can go.... other than that its pretty much solid... and the only thing i worry about is if one day i want to say lay the pinch weld or lay frame on 22's or some crazy thing like that its not going to happen without replacing it with something else or re engineering half the thing....

Another quick question for you N2TRUX... Are you running fender liners in the front wheelwells? stock? modified? custom? none?

Thanx

That Yellow stuff looks like something that belongs under a '32 Ford :o (streetrod in general, 2600-2800 lbs. or so). Not strong enough (tubes or lower panhard bracket ect.) for something of the weight of our trucks with any power/sticky tires in my opinion...I really question much normal/daily driving with that single shear, thin lower panhard bracket. Are they expecting those muffler clamps to keep the rear end in place? Does anyone have this set-up? Is it better than it looks in the picture? That looks similar to the stuff I re-did for a guy with a '66 Nova a few months ago. The brackets on the rear housing (soft 3/16" plate) bent & the panhard bracket (single shear, more soft 3/16" plate poorly contoured/thinned), was bent also. Lorne

Iv seen it installed in pic's, Not in person though. It definitely doesn't look any better. Infact to me it looks even gimpier once you get it next to the rest of the chassis and rearend. I like the theory of it and basic design of it. I just can't for the life of me understand why they can't put some strength into it. Maybe they figure that the customers they have will only put them on railer queen show trucks, that never see the street and barely cruise the fair ground at 2 mph.....

I just want something decent with a little versatility....so i can drop it when parked, be able to raise it for driveability, and be able to handle the moderately built 454 ill be putting in at some point when i get the else ready for it...Maybe thats too much to ask I don't know...I might just have to start from scratch or buy something and modify it.
