Fuel Injection, Fuel Economy

I think I'm going to just put fuel injection in my 86' and currently with my 5.7l motor and th400 tranny I'm getting 12.5mpg.... with a new edelbrock fuel injection system how much more mpg should i get? i think me gears are something like 2.73 I'm not too sure though

I would save your money unless on the Edelbrock EFI system and get a TBI setup.  Mine gets 17/22mpg with a 305 and factory TBI.

A later-model factory injection system off a j/y truck would be more cost effective.
