max lift on 1993 350 stock springs.

hey guys i picked up a 82 silverado today and it has a 1993 long block in it and i was wondering whats the max lift cam you can run on stock springs. FYI im just gonna make it sound God then re sale it. already have someone who wants to buy it and its there cam im gonna swap in for them. just wanna make sure it will work before i tell them it will.

.450 less with old springs

yea this cam wont workl for him then. what gives a cam a choppy idle. i know how it effects power ranges and how it effects the convertor and what not but what actually determines just the sound? the durration?

there is no "canned" response to this and engine size plays a part in this as well.  Cam X in a 400 that is smooth will sound "cammed" in a 305, but yes long durations make one choppy.  And if you are putting one in a stock 93 block, it is going to run like crap as long durations need more compression and more stall, etc etc etc...
