OK so i bought some rears for my 4x4 come to find out they are both open no good in the mud. so i had a locker in my rear in my truck with the same ratio so i took them apart and went to switch the lockers and found out my locker someone b4 did the dirty to it


and whoever weld it was it was cracking so cleaned it all up and tigged it back together hopfully she holds up

 The old "Lincoln Locker". I suppose if the truck is used just for off roading it is an easy way to get some traction.
 I don't know if I would trust it on the street. There will be no "give" to it to compensate for the different wheel speed while turning,

there is give when the tires start giving chirp chirp chirp. lol its what was on there b4 but i understand what you mean

I have welded rearends in cars over the years. They don't last forever on pavement! My Blazers 14 bolt is welded, but it sees very very little pavement.
