OK you award someone for something they say they are going to do but haven't done it yet, why??? just like someone to take a hand out, he had a chance to not accept it but you know " the change we need" i mean people are still getting laid off people still don't have jobs yet all is good, so what. i want to cure breast cancer do i get a npp? The only thing he has done is tour the world on our tax dollars, and of course, send our national debt out of sight.

His stimulus program has helped improve the roads we drive and picked up the tab for those projects from the states, but I don't think it has helped the bottom line of my company or allowed us to hire any more workers.  For one, all of the stimulus dollars were awarded to "shovel ready" projects, which is good because the $$$ doesn't get hung up for years in red tape, but that also means these were projects that my firm was already low-bidder on.  We had the work on the books, it just got paid for by the feds instead of the state.  This also means we didn't need to hire additional help since these projects were already scheduled.  Without the stimulus those projects may have been halted because of lack of funding, so I guess you could say it saved a few jobs, but it certainly didn't create any from my vantage point.

I wonder what Nelson Mandela thinks of Obama being awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, pre-accomplishment?  One man-of-color risked his life and spent time in prison for his beliefs.  The other rode coat-tails and a slogan to a cush pad on Pennsylvania Avenue.

How generous to donate the prize $1.4 mil to charity.  Of course, what the media doesn't tell you, he CANNOT accept prize money for his job, BUT, he still gets a tax credit for the donation.  How sweet. 

I am going to cure our economy.  I have a plan.  I promise I will. My plan is to deposit any money you actually earn in your bank account.  You work, you earn money as a reward for not staying at home watching Springer.  You work harder, you get more money.  No free handouts like health insurance (i didn't see that right in the Bill of Rights).

OK, time for me to wait at my mailbox to retrieve my prize money....I'll be back in a few.....

Sorry dude, less than Half of the wastealot package when to what it was supose too, the other parts when to his buddies as payback, you should see the roads in my area,, horrible, and the only new jobs in this area  is a new hilton hotel that is going up. and Thats not from the sorry ass stimulus ripoff.

Jim, you must be talking about the new HIlton in Innsbrook, just down the road from me.  They have a job fair i think later this week and I bet 5,000 people show up for about 150 jobs.

Oh, I won't argue that fact.  What he's spending on roads doesn't amount to a urine-hole in the snow but I do know Mass got a large chunk for infrastructure improvements, and we've paved several miles of road with federal $$$ from this program in several New England states on projects that probably would have been held back because of the states' budget crunch, so at least some of his stimulus money made it's way down the chain.  The problem lies in the fact that you don't have representatives that are powerful enough to swing big dollars your way.  That's the only thing I will miss with the passing of "Fat Teddy" Kennedy - he had more clout than anyone else in the Senate, and was able to secure lots of federal money for my state.

one of the geographically smallest states in the Union, but getting more than their share of Federal money, because people are aftraid to speak up against a Senator.  Rockefeller does the same thing for West Va, which, by population, is one of the smallest states.  Boy, isn't America great?

Let me get on Capitol Hill and they will hear someone speak out against pork.
