VARIABLE RATIO STEERING

VARIABLE RATIO STEERING??? I am about to replace all the steering components on my 87 SWB P/U.. for the pitman are they ask with or with out VARIABLE RATIO STEERING.. i am not sure what this is i have power steering.

All power steering systems on the 73-87's are variable power.
